Idolize Brows & Beauty, Rea Farms

It has been a hot minute since I wrote a blog post on here! With all the madness of holiday shopping coming to an end, I feel like I can finally talk about topics that have nothing to do with clothes and focus on what is truly important, self-care!!

With the holidays approaching we are so focused on doing things for others that we sometimes tend to forget about ourselves. It is equally important if not more to take care of yourself.

As the temps cool down and winter quickly approaching, our skin becomes dull, dry and needs a lot of TLC. I was very excited to partner with Idolize Brows & Beauty Spa in Charlotte, NC. They offer high-quality yet very affordable beauty services – you can find anything from a facial/wax services to simply getting your eyebrows threaded. 

I received two services on my visit to the Spa – custom facial & eyebrow/upper lip threading. The 1 hour custom facial service I did was to give some hydration and glow back into my congested and dry skin.

-Started off with an oil cleanser followed by a gentle cleanser 

-Exfoliated congested areas of my skin and finished it up with a toner

-Extractions to clear out any clogged pores

-Mask & Massage (she did a full upper neck/upper back massage and a hand massage)

-Finished up with a toner, serums and moisturizer

My skin felt so hydrated and had a very natural glow to it after – all the products that were used on my skin are from Dermalogica, which is a line of skincare that has been around for many years and proven to help any skin problems. 

The second service I chose was facial threading. If you don’t know already, I’ve done threading since the age of 13!! I NEVER put wax nor do I shave my face because it ages your skin significantly and your hair grows back a lot thicker. Since moving to Charlotte about 9 years ago, I’ve had the hardest time finding someone that could offer this service to me. About 3 years ago, I started going to Idolize regularly to get threading done on my eyebrows and upper lip. They are all super professional and the entire staff is well trained to do an excellent job! The best part is that you don’t have to make an appointment to get this done – you can walk right in and it usually takes less than 10 minutes to do depending on what threading service you pick.
