Visit to Lake Norman

Sharing with you all my recent trip to Lake Norman with the coolest blogger girls in town. My friend Kristin invited me on this and I couldn’t pass up this opportunity to visit the Lake during the most gorgeous time of the year! This was a press trip to help promote a brand NEW Airbnb that we stayed in + discover some awesome restaurants and things to do in the Lake Norman Area.
THE HOUSE This Lake Norman condo located right next to the beautiful water is a 3 Bedroom (4 beds)/2 Bathroom luxury gem. It’s newly furnished and located on the first floor which gives you an extended patio. The condo is located right next the community pool just steps away from the house. The space can conveniently fit up to 6 guests so it’s perfect for an entire family or have a girls/guys weekend like us! Thursday, May 16th I arrived close to 6:30pm on Thursday and the girls and I spent a little bit of time in the patio before our first night out in the town. That evening, Port City Club, located about 2 minutes away from the condo, graciously offered to host us for dinner. All I can say is that they did way more then just host us – everything from drinks to appetizers to dinner and dessert was INCREDIBLE! Nick, The Owner, presented each item and it was clear to see how much love he put into each dish! Check out our tasting menu below. My Favorites (Yes, we ate ALL this food):
  1. Baked Brie – this is a MUST. It was so creamy yet light and easy to eat as an appetizer.
  2. Flat Bread was a hit! Def a great choice as an app to share or as a main dish.
  3. Carbonara was so creamy and delicious – Nick actually brought out two different Carbonara style dishes (one with an Italian twist and one American – both equally appetizing).
  4. Pan Seared Grouper is a great choice for any seafood lover.
  5. Coconut Cake was hands down my favorite – creamy, moist and not too sweet.
Friday, May 17th Spent most of the morning at the condo, which was really nice after major food coma from the night before. Our plan for the afternoon was to head over to King Canary Brewing located in Mooresville (about a 15 minutes Uber drive from the condo). A beautiful space with some of the best beers in town. I tried a beer flight, which included: Champagne Poppy, Logger De Limon and Basket Robins Imperial Gose w/ Raspberry. My favorite of the three was hands down “Basket Robins”. They have an awesome food truck lined up whenever they are open. We got very lucky because Lobster Dogs Food Truck showed up with seriously mouth watering food! No Joke. I tried the Seared Tuna Stuffed Avocado and it exceeded all expectations. That evening we made plans to have dinner at Hello Sailor. I had not been there before but heard great reviews from friends. What caught my eye immediately was the space, decor and all the fun walls! It definitely has a cool surfer, beach vibe to it with a splash of elegance and fun. It was a beautiful day so we decided to sit outside in the patio with gorgeous views of the Lake. I had the most delicious dinner EVER! It was the Cornmeal Crusted NC Catfish.
Saturday, May 18th We started the day with an amazing work out with Pure Barre Lake Norman. All of us girls wore our matching tanks from The Home T and everyone thought we were part of a bachelorette party! After several night of great food and drinks, it was time to get a strong core workout in.

Right next door we hit up Clean Juice to re-fuel. If you go over there, I highly recommended the following:
  1. Avocado Toast
  2. The Berry Bowl
  3. The Hardcore One (a lower calorie option)
We spent the rest of the morning and early part of the afternoon on the Lake! It was literally the most perfect day to be on the Lake and we enjoyed every minute of it. Click here to check our some boat rental options.
That evening, BoatYard Eats hosted us for dinner and it was so much FUN! We spent the evening eating amazing food, listening to live music and dancing the night away. This restaurant offers a full bar, great menu and both indoor and outdoor seating. It’s a great venue to bring your whole family. I definitely plan on going back with my husband and kids the next time we are in the area.
We had the best time in Lake Norman. The condo was amazing and in a central location on the Lake close to all the top rated restaurants. Hope you get a chance to check it all out!
