Just Bloom Collagen Sips April 2019

Have you ever taken Collagen powder? Do you know what it is or what it does? The collagen peptide market is projected to be worth billions of dollars by 2025 and the reason for that is simple. It works!
Collagen is found in skin, cartilage, bone and muscle tissue and makes up 30% of the proteins in your body. As a teenager and into my 20s, my skin suffered from consistent acne and while acne is no longer a concern for me in my 30s, I do have acne scarring and hyper pigmentation. I set a goal for myself to take Just Bloom collagen sips 1-2x a day for the entire month of April and my primary goal was to see what this would do for my skin and hair. Here are a few changes that I noticed after a month of taking the sips consistently:
  1. My skin feels and looks smoother
  2. I have naturally dry skin and noticed that it looks more hydrated and vibrant (particularly when I wake up in the morning)
  3. Acne scars on my face have definitely faded some (not entirely) and I’ll likely need to continue taking peptides regularly for more then a month to see improvements
  4. Skin tone does look and feel more even, particularly around the upper lip area
  5. My hair feels thicker, less fall out and more volume

I took the Mango Mojito and Spicy Margarita (alternating between the two) and made quite a few easy recipes using the sips. Three different ways I consumed the peptides:
  1. 8oz of cold water, 1 sip, shake and drink (morning or post workout)
  2. Hot Water, 1 sip, stir and drink (afternoon)
  3. Smoothie Bowls and Drinks – blend together spinach, strawberries, blueberries, banana, chia seeds, 1 sip, ice – add a spoon full of granola on top and sliced banana/strawberries if I make a bowl otherwise drink it as a smoothie. The flavor of the collagen blends in very nicely with the fruits.
